How to Plant a Tree
Choose a place to plant the seedling
The planting place should have enough space so the future canopy's tree have room to grow. The seedling should not be planted next to houses, walls and so on. The minimum distance between seedlings, or even between the seedling and the wall, should be 5 meters (17 feet). It should be avoided planting the seedling under energy lines.
Seedling's pit preparation
The pit (hole) where the seedling is to be planted should measure 40 cm radius (1.3 foot) and 40 cm (1.3 foot) deep. The earth removed from the pit will be used to fill out the hole.
Fertilize
To assure a better growing, it is recommended to proceed to the pit fertilization before planting. It is required 150 grams (0.33 pound) of limestone, 200 grams (0.44 pound) superphosphate and organic fertilizer (manure). First mixture 3 parts of earth with 1 part of organic fertilizer, then add the limestone and the superphosphate. This mixture will be used to fill out the pit after the planting. The limestone and the superphosphate can be found in garden and plant stores, agricultural product stores and eve in some supermarkets.
Seedling preparation
Usually, seedlings are sold in plastic bags but can be found in cans. During the planting, the wrapping (plastic bag, can or others) must be removed with care, so the turf that protects the roots don't break. To help the bag removal, laid down and hold the seedling with one hand and, using a knife or scissors, cut the plastic bag from the opening to the bottom and take the plastic out.
Planting the seedling
Open a hole in the center of the pit big enough to accommodate the turf. The top of the turf should be at the same level of the pit's surface and the turf must be in the vertical position. Put back the fertilized earth withdrawn from the pit around the seedling and, with your hands, press the earth around the turf until it's firm and well surrounded by the fertilized earth. Finished that, water the seedling abundantly.
Care after the planting
After planted, the seedling must receive care until it grows and is healthy. Water it frequently, preferably every two days, in the morning or in the afternoon. After the first month, water the plant once a week. During the first two years after the planting, it is important to cover the earth's surface around the plant and over the roots with manure every 6 months. The mixture is composed by 100 grams (0.11 pound) of urea, 100 grams (0.22 pound) of superphosphate and 50 grams (0.11 pound) of potassium chloride. This mixture should be placed around the seedling in the shape of a crown formed by the protection of the plant's treetop on the ground.
If the seedling will be planted on a sidewalk, put a grid around it to avoid that it be damaged by animals and other people.

How to Make Your Home Beautiful with a New and Inexpensive Painting
When we're going to paint, we must have in mind that the painting protects (exterior) and beautify (interior) the objects. Therefore, it is with these characteristics in mind that one choices the paint. So, one must know:
Choosing a color is always difficult. Colors affect our humor. Yellow, orange and red are hot and vibrating colors. Green, blue and purple are cold and calm. Verify if the wall or room that you want to paint is warm, use cold painting and if the room is cold, use hot painting. The brighter the paint, the lesser the energy one will spend. The light of the day will illuminate better and for a longer time.
- What is the material to be painted? Is it wood, concrete, plaster, brick or paste? - What is the environment? Is it sunny, wet, hot or bright? - How do we want it to become? Is it bright, neutral or opaque? - Define the material to be used and the costs.
How to save money when painting the house
Many times one needs to choose the least expensive paint. In general, it's not the best deal. The most expensive paints usually have a higher quantity of pigment and allow us to cover the surface with less layers of paint. In other words, less paint is used and less work. Inform yourself in a specialized store, read attentively the vendor recommendations and ask for the salesperson advice. It would be best to go to a big store that works with various paint brands, so you can read the technical specifications on every can. It's a task that saves money and effort.
Always buy a small paint can and test the color on a wall before buying all the paint you'll going to need and start the job. When paints dry, they change the original colors. Some get brighter, other darker.
How to choose the environment color
The use of colors in an environment demands equilibrium. If you paint a wall red, it would be good to think of painting the other three walls white. The composition of different nuances of the same color is also good and can be done blending darker with brighter tones. Choose a base tone and a more vibrant for the walls but beware of the account for the colors of furniture and curtain.
Who wants to use strong or vibration hues should choose the main wall of the environment -- like the one opposite to the entrance door, the one that calls the attention -- and avoid highlighting clipping walls.
As a general rule, small rooms should be painted with colors that communicate the sensation of a wider room like blue and green. If the intension is to stimulate the "cozy" sensation, choose bright and vibrant colors like red and yellow.
There are two basic tricks for the ceiling. For high ceilings, the use of a darker color causes a sensation of a lower ceiling, producing a smaller environment. A bright color on the ceiling, especially white, enlarges the room by causing the sensation of a high ceiling.
A rule for spatial definition is produced by a floor darker than the walls and walls darker than the ceiling.
In the kitchen, it's not an obligation to paint all white with details in hot and stimulation colors like red, orange and yellow. If you wish, do something different.
The excess of brightness on a white wall behind a television set disturbs the focus on the screen. The hint is to place a shelf behind it or to use a darker color on that wall.
Beware, whatever color you choose for a room, the furniture will have to match with it. If you paint it blue, for instance, the furniture should balance with it. If you paint it white, the choices for the furniture will be much wider.

How to Make Your Room Look Wider Decorating it with Mirrors
Small rooms can look warm and wide. It just needs a 'cleaning' and mirrors in strategic places.
Cleaning
Do not feel sorrow. Take those things that you accumulate in the corners out and give them away: little tables with no utility, large shelves – use small ones instead – keep only that one for your TV and DVD players. No big sofas. Use modular couches or sofas with two seats. Puffs are the ideal solution for small rooms. Use bright colors (white, ice, ivory) on the walls and sofas. Use preferably white embroidered curtains.
There should be plants there also. But take it easy. In a corner put a small tree in a vase. Distribute small plants here and there but just a few. Don’t exaggerate.
Mirrors
Install a big mirror on the wall across from the door. It allows the visitor to look him/herself at it as he/she enters the room (women love mirrors) and it enlarges the room. You can use another one on the wall above the sofa, in a manner that it reflects another room and plants. It gives a sensation of a large place and your room will look as a beautiful green garden.
If you decide to keep your bookshelf, do yourself a favor: take out all the trinkets and porcelain. Leave only a few books and a few decoration objects. The least, the better!
Good luck!
